“This book is written by my childhood friend Mike Sarkissian (In baseball he once threw a perfect game and I caught the last out!) The book showed me how if I am to be a true Christian, I also need communication with GOD, through prayer.  The question for a lot of us is how and when do we pray?  This book helps explains that.  The clarity Mike explains about what prayer means to the faith and the Christians realationship with GOD through prayer.  Outstanding depth and insight into all aspects of prayer.  A great read for anyone who wants better communication with GOD.”

Your book is so amazing, Mike! I’ve been reading it this past week. Your passion and zeal is so encouraging. My friend Kim has read it too and said she has gained such a more proper perspective and understanding about prayer from it. Praise God.

I have read over a dozen books on “prayer” in the past twenty years. This is the only book that I put down quite a few times and got on my knees to pray… Don’t miss this one!

My brother,

Wow.  I am blessed, edified, and spurred to strengthen my prayer life.  Your book was amazing.  I loved it.  It read so well and did not drag and carry on, but, it had enough of the “meat” for those that want it, although the layperson will not get slowed up one bit in their reading.  What a great approach in your book.  I am glad you wrote it this way.  I am in the process this morning of going back through it to summarize and catch some of the points I read to refresh.  There were a few points that popped up that spoke to me.

The section that discussed how we still need to confess our sins and ask forgiveness to God struck me.  Sometimes I think because of being saved by Grace that all past, present, and future sins are dealt with, as they are, BUT as you stated, it grieves the Father that we have sinned and need to respond.  Wow!

Another section was the “Additional Thoughts on Prayer.”  I loved hearing your thoughts on some of these issues.  I was convicted about the family prayer time.  That is something that needs to be improved in my life.

Mike, I am thankful for this book.  It truly will be a reference book for me.  Your resources were great.  It was well organized which helped flow and I now have a book to go to that lays out the “Doctrine of Prayer.”

I also loved the last chapter reading about Robert Murray McCheyne.  Such much more I can say about this book.  I am proud of you and righteously envious, if there is such a thing.  What a future you have in writing.  Keep cranking them out!! I love it.

Be blessed.  I would love to discuss some other aspects next time we talk.

Mike,

The communion / prayer I have had with my GOD has been a struggle even though I continue to see his glorious work in my life, There is still a struggle which has brought uncertainty on how to approach deep life-changing prayer with GOD. But our GOD is an awesome GOD. He reigns from heaven above with wisdom power and love. So what does GOD do? He drops this book into my hands and by His Word he reveals Himself by changing the way I look at communion with Him.
